St Mary Le Strand, London
We were asked to create a website for the church of St Mary Le Strand, a historically significant church in the heart of London, as part of a Heritage Fund project.
The site needed to both represent the vibrant community of St Mary’s but also look out at the wider audience of the church – for those visiting the site as a popular tourist attraction in the Strand and those attending the wide range of events at the church.
It was also vital to look at representing the cultural and historical heritage of the Church as well as present opportunities to support the Church as an important landmark.
With the design we wanted to keep a classical overall feel to the site whilst making sure we gave it a contemporary feel through it’s clean and minimalist style with a strong emphasis on imagery on the home page.
We also worked with St Mary’s to develop their Friends and Patrons offering, with the opportunity to join through a payment portal on-line as well as the ability to sell products and present their 3D modelling of the church.
