St Laurence’s CE School branding
We were commissioned to design a logo and identity for St Laurence’s CE School in Coventry.
The brand was looking to represent the school’s new vision statement ‘Growing in Faith, Living in Hope, Learning to Love’ as well as representing some of the key ideas and concepts which came out through their recent visioning process.
They wanted the logo to have a simple footprint and be easily reproducible on a range of mediums, from signage and uniforms to their website. They also wanted to keep the blue which they’d been using up to that point to help with as smooth a transition to the new identity as they could.
The logo itself shows care and love of the school’s pupils being at the core of what they do, along with faith being a central component to the Church of England School. The colours both represent the diversity of the school with each colour also being used to represent key parts of their vision across the material they produce. The shield not only acts as a branding feature for uniforms and signage but also reflects the protection and duty of care the school has for everyone in the school.
