Becoming Reverend
We were commissioned to design the cover to the memoir of Matt Woodcock entitled ‘Becoming Reverend’. The task was to create a cover which reflected the personality of the author as well as a design which was quirky, informal and fun. We looked at several concepts before deciding upon the final design – the portrait of the author being taken specifically for use on the book jacket. The expressive typeface and use of the strong orange contrasts nicely with the clerical shirt in the picture with enough of the author’s face visible to give the cover a human warmth. We were very pleased with the results!
